The Occasional Collective is the hub of collaborations and projects by Imogen Semmler.
Imogen has a background as a creative producer, artistic director and event manager across the arts and media.
She was founding Artistic Director of Underbelly Arts an event for emerging and experimental artists in Sydney. She has both worked for and delivered projects for a range of arts and media organisations including Sydney Festival, Melbourne Comedy Festival, Creative Sydney, the Australian International Documentary Conference, The Great Escape Festival, Wide Open Spaces Festival and the Indigenous Remote Communications Association.
Her work spans programming and producing events, festivals, theatre, public art, panels, conferences and interdisciplinary art projects.
Imogen also works independently as an artist, documentary researcher and radio maker. She currently studying a degree in Ecology through UNE and has been both a participant and a facilitator of courses and workshops spanning sustainable design, ecological agriculture and permaculture.
